Eager to hear more political straight talk? Can you recognize when commentators and news sources are committed to the truth? Are you aware of the media manipulation about what’s happening in our world? Journalist, author and media critic, Norman Solomon and eminent broadcaster, Peter B. Collins – in Part Two of our conversation – will reveal how to think more consciously about what you see, hear, and read. Remember – if history doesn’t repeat itself, it certainly rhymes a lot. You’ll hear:

  • how presidents and leaders use rhetoric to make war seem necessary

  • what intentional selectivity affects media messages

  • about the hidden, astronomical costs of the Iraq war

  • reliable sources you can reference for accurate reporting

  • Congresswoman Barbara Lee’s speech to Congress against the Iraq war
