Listen to the Show

Music is a universal influence on the physical, emotional, and spiritual facets of our lives. Particular compositions, tones, and rhythms can strengthen the mind, unlock the creative spirit, and heal the body and soul: Inspiring words about music fill our program: “Music is the poetry of the air.” “Without music, life would be a mistake.” “Music is what feelings sound like.” “Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence.”

In this hour we’ll be exploring:

  • the value of bringing music more centrally into our daily lives
  • how various types of music and rhythm affect our moods and emotions
  • important influences of music on healing, individually and globally
  • why music is an important part of life transitions and celebrations
  • some of the ways drumming can enhance relationships in the workplace
