Music is a universal influence on the physical, emotional, and spiritual facets of our lives. Particular compositions, tones, and rhythms can strengthen the mind, unlock the creative spirit, and heal the body and soul: Inspiring words about music fill our program: Music is the poetry of the air. Without music, life would be a mistake. Music is what feelings sound like. Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence.
In this hour well be exploring:
- the value of bringing music more centrally into our daily lives
- how various types of music and rhythm affect our moods and emotions
- important influences of music on healing, individually and globally
- why music is an important part of life transitions and celebrations
- some of the ways drumming can enhance relationships in the workplace

Shari Berger is a musician and music educator. She is the founder of Kulanu Productions, an environmentally and socially responsible company specializing in audio, web and event production. Shari has taught drumming to individuals of all ages, believing that rhythm plays a key role in developing our sense of self and connection to others. She also has an MBA in Sustainable Business from New College of California. |
